Privacy Policy

Lumenta Digital (“Lumenta”, “we”, “us”) is an Ottawa-based technology studio. This policy explains what personal information we collect through www.lumentadigital.com, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We handle personal information in line with Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).

Information we collect

We only collect what you choose to give us:

  • Contact form.When you send us a message, we collect your name, email address, phone number (if you provide one), the service you’re interested in, and your message.
  • Newsletter. If you subscribe, we collect your email address.
  • Booking a call. If you book a call, our scheduling provider collects the details you enter, such as your name, email, and chosen time.

We don’t use advertising or tracking cookies, and we don’t run third-party analytics that profile you across the web.

How we use your information

We use your information only to:

  • respond to your inquiry and provide the services you ask about;
  • send the newsletter you subscribed to (you can unsubscribe at any time);
  • schedule and manage calls you book;
  • protect our forms from spam and abuse;
  • meet our legal and record-keeping obligations.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for advertising.

Consent

By submitting a form on our site, you consent to us collecting and using your information for the purposes above. We collect only what we need for the purpose you contacted us about, and you can withdraw your consent at any time (see “Your choices and rights” below).

Service providers we work with

We use a small set of trusted providers to run our site and communicate with you. They process your information on our behalf and only as needed to provide their service:

  • Vercel — website hosting.
  • Supabase — secure database where form submissions and newsletter sign-ups are stored.
  • Resend — delivers our email notifications and replies.
  • Cloudflare Turnstile — protects our forms from spam and bots.
  • Cal.com — scheduling for booked calls.

Some of these providers store or process data on servers outside Canada, including in the United States. Where that’s the case, your information may be subject to the laws of those countries. We choose providers that offer appropriate safeguards.

Cookies and your browser

We don’t use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. We store a small setting in your browser to remember your light/dark theme preference. The spam-protection and scheduling tools above may set their own cookies so they can function. You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings, though some features may not work as well if you do.

How long we keep your information

We keep inquiry and subscriber information for as long as needed to respond to you, provide our services, and meet legal obligations — and no longer than necessary. You can ask us to delete your information at any time.

Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including access controls on our database and encrypted connections. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and limit access to those who need it.

Your choices and rights

Under PIPEDA, you have the right to:

  • ask what personal information we hold about you;
  • ask us to correct it if it’s inaccurate;
  • ask us to delete it;
  • unsubscribe from our newsletter (use the link in any newsletter email, or contact us);
  • withdraw your consent to our use of your information.

Children

Our site and services are intended for businesses and adults. We don’t knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we’ll change the “Last updated” date at the top. Significant changes will be reflected here.
